Our School Uniform: Fostering Pride and Belonging
At BPPS, our school uniform is an important part of our identity, fostering a sense of community, belonging, and pride among our students. Wearing our distinctive BPPS colours helps every child feel part of our vibrant school community while supporting equity and inclusiveness. We are committed to supporting parents with clear advice and accessible options to help every child wear their Boroondara Park Primary School colours with pride.
Our Uniform Range
BPPS offers a practical and comfortable uniform suitable for all seasons in our school colours, ink, navy and red, including:
- Summer Uniform: Short-sleeve polos, t-shirts, dresses, skorts and shorts in comfortable and breathable fabrics.
- Winter Uniform: Long-sleeve polos, tracksuit pants, tunics, hoodies, and fleece jackets.
- Sports Uniform: House colour t-shirts, Grade 5/6 lightweight sports t-shirt, shorts, skorts and tracksuits.
- Accessories: BPPS hats for sun protection (compulsory in Terms 1 and 4), school bags, and optional scarves and beanies in school colours.
Uniform Guidelines
BPPS students are expected to dress in complete school uniform at all times. Most importantly, it will be worn when students are out of the school grounds on excursions, musical performances, and other similar activities.
We kindly request that all students:
- Wear the full BPPS uniform each school day.
- Wear appropriate closed-toe footwear (either sports trainers or leather school shoes) for safety and comfort.
- Label all uniform items clearly with the student’s name.
- Wear a bucket hat (compulsory) during Terms 1 & 4, which aligns with our SunSmart policy.

Second-hand Uniform Shop
Parent volunteers run our second-hand uniform shop, offering items at discounted prices that support sustainability and affordability for our school families.
Located in the portable classroom next to the central playground and back oval, our second-hand uniform shop accepts both cash and card.
Donations of good quality uniform items are always appreciated and can be dropped into the specially marked bin available at all hours just near the entrance to the shop.
Opening times are communicated to the school community through Compass.
Commemorative Uniforms
Grade 6 Graduation uniform is optional. The short-sleeved polo orders are taken in August, the year prior to the students starting Grade 6, and sent home on the last day of Term 4. The bomber jacket orders are taken in Term 1 of Grade 6, with expected delivery at the end of Term 1. These items are available only as a one-time, pre-paid special order.
